Overview
Hidden in the subtle hills of eastern sub-Himalayas lies Meghalaya, one of the most drenched places on the planet. Itinerary
On arrival at Guwahati (GAU) Airport / GHY Railway Station & transfer to Cherrapunjee (4400 ft.), called ‘Scotland of the East”. Enroute visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. On arrival at Cherrapunjee, check in at your hotel. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
After early breakfast visit the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkalikai. You can also explore the caves known as Mawsmai. Evening return to Shillong, enroute visit Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views. Overnight stay.
After early breakfast drive Dawki enjoy boat ride on river while return visits Mawlynnong – “Asia’s Cleanest Village”. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights such as the living room bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock. Stay overnight at your hotel in Shillong.
After breakfast, drive to Mawsynram (26 Kms from Shillong) it is known for the Giant Stalagmite formation shaped into a “Shivalinga” and found inside a cave known locally as ‘Mawjymbuin’. After early breakfast drive to Guwahati “Capital city of Assam”. Upon arrival check in at Hotel. freshnup than incarnation of Sati.
